I suggest this site do like more than a couple site do: in addition the the usual way of unmarking a thread as unread (new on this site), add a timeout setting and when a thread get past that (timeout), it will be unflagged from user (unread list).
The summum would be to have the timeout setting in the user setting so an adamant reader would set it to 1 week (after 1 week, he/she judge there's no chance to read it) while an occasional one (reader) might set it to 3 months. |
