Description:I reside in Montreal, Quebec. Growing up in the Eastern coasts of Canada, I was surrounded by talented musicians. Learning to play the bass, guitar, and keyboards, in Jonny King's basement and in my bedroom with the 4-track, is the bulk of my high school nostalgia.

I've always had a guilt free love for 'pop' music, starting at age 5 with The Beatles. In my late teens I began listening to more beat-based music such as rare groove, funk, jazz, etc. This fostered more interest in the performance aspect of popular music. Eventually I began to take interest in electronic music, experimenting with analogue synths and their digital siblings.

After moving to Halifax to attend art school, I joined the funk/dance outfit led by Kamran Abdi www.drdfunkt.com, who's experience and raw talent exposed me to a whole new set of possibilities. During the lifespan of Dr.Yellow Fever, a lot of time was spent in 'the studio'. The 'studio' ranged from an apartment with a computer and a MIDI keyboard to a full-scale major label studio with Neve consoles and Telefunken microphones. That’s where I learned the basics of sound recording and sequencing.

After learning the story's of many of my favorite musicians, and more importantly, producers, I realized that I had a checklist to complete. I have always feared being stuck in a corner with music. The only way I see around that is to be very diverse : in my musical styles as a musician, and my abilities as a technician.

After studying audio engineering in Montreal, I had the opportunity to work with many people, from editing and re-mixing cuts of legends such as the Maytones, Bunny Wailer and Sly & Robbie with producer Barry York to designing low memory sample sets for ROM chips in toys.

I am a one man band. Constructing production quality songs, live, on stage. No tricks, you see and hear it all happen. This idea isn't exclusively mine, and there are many fantastic artists doing wonderful things with music and technology, but you should come see my show. I found I was becoming discouraged with the chronic disappointment of electronic music performances (i.e.- bobbing behind laptop, maybe checking e-mail...) The need for interaction is desperate in this genre. As well, the performance aspect is often nonexistent/apparent. Perhaps there are lowered expectations within the fans, but that shouldn't be.

The plan for the future is to open as a one man show, and then headline with a band, playing my songs that rely on more changes and progressions than this current configuration allows for.

Hats off to the developers of open source sequencers, VST plug-ins and Instruments. Quite often these out perform their commercial twins
