| Description: | Starting off in 2002 as a hyper brutal speedcore formation with industrial undertones, Egoid rapidly distance themselves from the genre. Influenced by artists as varied as Aphex Twin, Autechre and Boards of Canada to Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Wumpscut, Front Line Assembly, Suicide Comando, etc, all to way to Merzbow, Boyd Rice, old school stuff like Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire and the grand masters of beautifully controlled chaotic noise: Einsturzende Neubauten. As a starting and aspiring formation, Egoid tries to embody it's own perception of music: aural exploration. From experimental noise, to downbeat IDM, passing by pounding dancefloor EBM and Hardcore beats Egoid gives it's best with limited ressources and some good old fashion wit. |
