Description:

Fu Ancko has forged a name for himself in the quebecois nightlife throughout the years while playing numerous gigs in and around Montreal and the provincial capital, Quebec. A fan of music since he was very young, he’s touched on many different musical styles. A multi-instrumentalist, Fu Ancko decided to take up DJ’ing at the ripe age of 17. Originally from Quebec city, he was introduced to the underground scene and it is there that he discovered his love of electronic music. Dabbling in techno, tech-house, electro and breaks, he’s always had a taste for fat percussive loops and acidy basslines. All those who’ve seen in action would tell you: ‘’damn, bitch is on fire!’’

Since 2004, he’s been a proud member of the Akarien collective who can be accredited with numerous club nights and raves which have rocked dancefloors across the city. He is also a DJ and promoter with the Eresys collective, one of the new kids on the block championing Montreal-flavoured techno. Thankfully, his affiliations have allowed him to get his sound heard all around the world in various clubs and festivals. In 2010 he played alongside Green Velvet, the living legend from Chicago, at Piknic Electronik in Montreal. A few weeks later, he’d head overseas to be greeted at the distinguished OPA in Paris and shortly thereafter Pacha (NYC) received the entire Eresys crew. On top of his residence at Salon Daomé, Fu Ancko also played frequently at Parking, Circus afterhours, Societe des Arts Technologiques (SAT), Saphir, Club Pearl and numerous other venues. Keep an ear to the ground, because Fu Ancko has a lot more to prove.
