A distant gaze,
sorrows drowning in a pool of limpid blue
Crystalline tears,
Like shards of glass,
Your emotions so fragile,
Strangled by that which you fear
Pain, the gilded blade,
Tearing you within,
You scream, bleeding on the inside,
I held your hand and by your side I've stayed

How could they tear you down?
Why did they put you so high on that pedestal,
Just to knock you off your feet?
