Title: Vigil Characters: Lucius, Draco Rating: PG Format: Poetry Author's Notes: Just flexing the muscles that wax lyrical. (http://www.livejournal.com/users/dimedici/74193.ht...) Stilled is the breath that hangs suspended When the capillaries expand, the lids taking on a waxen sheen. This wilted horror is perfectly natural Where it lies, As long as it lies And feels not the cool breath and dry kisses of those Who pay tribute. Thirteen threads bind the lips together With such fine flaxen twine that the young man forgets his place, His demeanour cracked as He leans Closer. And closer still. Hot breath refracts on cool flesh – A shivering vigil as the words return to him, Cooling quicker than hearts that flutter their last agonized triumph, “Father.”
