When you reach out and need a friend
Who do you turn to in the end?
Is it someone who loves you or someone you love,
Do you think they are below you or are they above?
When you need a shoulder or an ear,
Do you go there or do they come here?
Do they welcome you with concern,
or impatiently wait for their turn?
How can you tell if you're being used?
Is there such thing as friendship abuse?
When do you know you've crossed the line,
between 'this person is my friend, and 'this person is mine'
Not all of us rate ourselves based on posessions,
Some of us even feel better making concessions,
But what is morality if nobody thinks the same?
Are 'right' and 'wrong' more than just about blame?
I wouldn't want to read anyone else's mind,
I'm just too afraid of what I might find.
There's already too much going on in my head
To worry about something i've heard or read.
How do you make the right choice,
When you hear more than one voice?
What do you need and how will you know?
Just stop, relax, beathe and go with the flow.
