GAIN EMPOWERMENT, EXPRESS OPINIONS
The ultimate in doublespeak is to call another propaganda summit in
Lumberton "Teen Empowerment" ("Students challenged to play strong role
in the community" on Oct. 13).
While I support a thorough understanding of substance abuse, I know
that real empowerment means expressing a diversity of opinions. How
empowered would teen-agers be if they were to advocate legalization of
marijuana?
