RECLASSIFICATION ANNOUNCEMENT NOT SENSE BEFORE INQUIRY

SIR - The Home Affairs Committee is currently hearing evidence on "The
Government's drug policy: is it working?" It is surely a contradiction of
common sense for David Blunkett to introduce a major policy change by
announcing the reclassification of cannabis to "C" category BEFORE the
committee completes its inquiry.
