LOCKING UP POT SMOKERS NOT IN NATIONAL INTEREST
Editor, the Tribune: Thanks for the brief but right-on-target article
"NORML chief urges legalization" on Oct. 21. Keith Stroup's call for
the decriminalization of marijuana is pragmatic and honest. I dislike
marijuana, just as I dislike alcohol and nicotine. But I, like many
Americans, realize that in this time of great national need, locking
up millions of otherwise responsible marijuana smokers is only
hurting our great nation.
