GARR WRONG TO KNOCK ALLIANCE
To the editor:
Re: "Action just more Alliance hot air," Oct. 24.
Allen Garr once gleefully wrote that a resource centre for drug abusers is
a great idea, but he wouldn't want one near his neighbourhood. His ugly
hypocrisy is typical of politicians and city staff who so righteously
condemn Chinatown for refusing to shut up and accept the role of designated
victim. Allen Garr has long lost his moral right to comment on the subject.
Charles Lee, Vice-Chair Vancouver Chinatown Merchants Association
Ed. note: Allen Garr says he cannot recall making such a comment.
