PROFILE KIDS WHO SAY 'NO' TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL

Thank you for the informative series on the teen drug and alcohol abuse
problem here in Edmond. ("A Stranger in the House," Oct. 14-21)

I appreciate the honesty of the teens involved and the direct reporting
done by the paper. I would love to see a followup article that profiles
teens who have said "no" to drugs and alcohol. It would be great to hear
what they feel has helped them make that decision.

I know many teens from various high schools in the area that are not using
drugs and alcohol and are having great success and fun during their high
school years.

I think these kinds of kids would be a great example to the rest of the
teens out there, to show that there are those who say no and stick to it.
I'm proud of the teens I know who are making the choice to honor their
parents, the law and themselves.
