THE QUESTION

Dear Editor:

I've been writing to editors and politicians about our failed policy of drug
prohibition on a daily basis for over two years and, I must agree that M. L.
Simon's "The Question" is perhaps the best question ever asked about our
drug policy. I agree with Mr. Simon that all of us that oppose our failed
policy of drug prohibition, should ask every politician, every drug warrior
and everybody else that supports the failed policy the great question.

"Do you support drug prohibition because it finances criminals at home or
because it finances terrorists abroad?"

I agree that we should ask "the question" again and again and wait for
an answer.
