WAGING THE WRONG WAR

Thanks for carrying David Broder's piece on medical marijuana
(Opinion, November 9, 2001) and the recent federal raids on the West
Hollywwood clinic.

I distinctly remember George W. Bush on the campaign trail, telling
us that this issue is best left to the states. And now I feel
betrayed. He has the power to prevent this stupidity and focus our
law enforcement powers on truly dangerous threats, but still it
continues.
