PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN
Major kudos to letter writer Keith Gumowitz for his letter "Ashcroft again"
(11/12) about Attorney General John Ashcroft's efforts to thwart Oregon's
assisted suicide law and California's medical marijuana laws. I was taught
in school that if American citizens don't like a law, they can and should
take action to change the law. The citizens of California, Oregon and other
states did just that. Obviously, they were wasting their time.
