EXTRA PRISON SPACE COULD BE PUT TO USE

We apparently have excess prison beds now. I hope all prisoners based in
out-of-state prisons have been returned to the state prisons. If so, I have
a solution for the problem of what to do with any excess beds: Convert the
prisons to rehabilitation centers for drug treatment.

There is a shortage of drug treatment centers now with addicts being turned
away, so this would be an excellent opportunity for these facilities. The
money saved from not having to house prisoners could be used for the drug
rehabilitation.
