FORUMS WERE ILLUMINATING, BUT WHERE WERE POLITICOS?
Editor, The News:
I would like to commend the organizers and sponsors of the well-organized
and very interesting community forums on Nov. 7 (sexual exploitation of
children and youth) and Nov. 13 (drugs and reality in Abbotsford).
The videos and speakers were very informative.
Now, hopefully, the community will get more involved and get treatment
centres, rather than needle exchanges or methadone clinics.
We hope our elected municipal councillors will be in attendance at the next
rally as they were very conspicuous by their absence this time.
Thank you to all who made this so informative. The video on Abbotsford's
downtown drug scene was definitely a reality check.
