DRUG WAR
Thank you for printing David Broder's Nov. 11 column questioning the
Bush administration's escalating war on medical marijuana ("An old
battle hardly worthy of attention now").
It is a shame to see resources wasted on denying dying people access
to a medicine that helps them while the United States is in continuing
danger from terrorist attacks. I hope that criticism such as Broder's
will encourage the Drug Enforcement Administration to rethink its priorities.
