ANOTHER VIEW ON DRUG QUESTION

Re: 'Abbotsford awakened to drug problem,' (the Times, Nov. 16).
You quote Vancouver Const. Al Arsenault as saying, "Safe fixing sites
are an oxymoron. There is no such thing as safe heroin or cocaine."
Your readers should know that the 1973 Le Dain Commission concluded,
"There appears to be little permanent physiological damage from
chronic use of pure opiate narcotics."
