CONGRATULATIONS ON MARIJUANA DECRIMINALISATION
THE Gallop Government is to be congratulated for adopting the
recommendations of the Drug Summit, especially decriminalisation of
marijuana.
No longer does one need to hide the offending plant in the hapless
tomato plot.
A greater revenue source than the intended fine would be to license
the householder to grow two plants, thus freeing the police for more
important matters.
Health Minister Bob Kucera hopes the task force will look at the
medical applications of cannabis. I can see patients in corridors of
overloaded hospitals being given a calming "joint" to help them while
away the hours.
