WAR ON DRUGS

America, home of the free and the brave. Yes, we are free, but that freedom
was obtained by soldiers willing to die, and I thank God for those
soldiers. But folks, we have another kind of war to fight and it takes all
of us.

I am talking about the war on drugs and, just like any other war, you have
objectors and dissenters. In this war, you have parents hollering about
loss of rights and freedom because the schools want to do drug testing.

I applaud the schools and shake my head at those parents. It is no big deal
to put a little urine in a cup, and, if it will deter one child from using
alcohol or drugs, it is worth it. If a child gets hooked, they have lost
their freedom and many of them lose their lives.

Ask any recovering addict what their life was like on drugs/alcohol. Ask
any parent what their life was like and they will tell you it is a living
hell. Ask any recovering parent if they want their child to go through what
they went through.

Folks, quit your bellowing and support the schools in their effort to fight
the war on drugs. I can't help but wonder if those dissenters/objectors
have something to hide or if they are afraid their child may come back
positive and they don't want to deal with it.
