AMERICA SENDS IN THE MARINES
To the Editor:
A Nov. 28 front-page article quotes Gen. Tommy R. Franks, commander of
American forces in Afghanistan, as saying, "We will not leave weapons
of mass destruction in this country." I hope that he and other leaders
of the coalition will include opium poppies and heroin in their list
of these weapons and see to their complete eradication.
