WA POLICE UNCOVER SEASIDE DRUG LABORATORY

One of Western Australia's largest clandestine amphetamine laboratories has
been uncovered at a house in the Perth coastal suburb of Sorrento.

Officers from the Organised Crime Unit made the discovery at a house on
Kempenfeldt Avenue about 6:00pm yesterday.

Police found crystal methylamphetamine and a large quantity of the liquid
form of the drug.

Detective Senior Sergeant Jim Cave says it is the largest seizure from a
clandestine laboratory in the state.

"A preliminary assessment by the chemist estimated that in excess of one
kilo of crystal methylamphetamine will be realised from the liquid product,
and that's commonly known as ice," he said.

Ross Frayzer, 41-years-old, and his 28-year-old wife Stephanie, have been
charged with possession of amphetamine with intent to sell and supply.

Mr Frayzer is also charged with manufacturing an amphetamine.

Police are also searching for a third man.

Detective Sergeant Cave says it is a concern the laboratory was found in a
residential area as the chemicals had the potential to cause a large explosion.
