THANKS TO NEWS, EGERTON FOR MAN'S FREEDOM
The Dallas Morning News is to be commended for the work of Brooks
Egerton and his April 23, 2006, article, "Unequal Justice." This
investigative report has led to the freedom of Tyrone Brown, who was
unjustly sentenced to life in prison for one probation violation for
smoking marijuana.
Mr. Egerton's article ultimately led to a report by ABC's 20/20 news
show, which then led to people from across the country uniting to work
toward gaining Tyrone's release from an unjust sentence.
Mr. Brown now has the opportunity to begin again, with the continued
help of those who worked so hard to gain his release. From the
savemrbrown.com team, heartfelt thanks to The News and Mr. Egerton.
