RECORD CLEARED FOR FORMER INVESTIGATOR

The criminal record of former District Sixteen Drug Task Force
Investigator Charles David Love has been officially expunged.

District Judge George McBee reportedly cleared Love's record Thursday
in accordance with a plea agreement that Love entered into with the
state in 1999. In exchange for Love's plea of guilty, the state agreed
at that time that, providing Love paid his fines, fees, and costs in
full and broke no laws, his record would be expunged after a two-year
probationary period.

Love and his supervisor Michael Shayne Hilburn were reportedly
indicted on embezzlement charges by a grand jury in Oklahoma City in
1996, after investigators discovered more than $20,000 missing from
the drug task force fund.

Love was reportedly charged with more than 20 counts of embezzlement
originally. However, all but one of those counts were dismissed.

Hilburn entered a plea of guilty to 26 counts of embezzlement in 1999.
He was incarcerated until May 2000, when he was released into
supervised probation by the Oklahoma Department of
Corrections.

The indictments of the two investigators destroyed the District
Sixteen Drug Task Force under LeFlore County District Attorney Mike
Sullivan.

However, the task force has since been reconstructed, and remains
active under District Attorney Rob Wallace.
