ETON WAIVES THE RULES ON DRUG EXPULSIONS
ETON College appears to have bent its own strict rules on drugs to allow
Prince Harry to escape expulsion. Until the Eton pupil was caught smoking
cannabis, any pupil involved with drugs knew that he faced instant exclusion.
Even boys caught using the drug outside Eton -- as Prince Harry did -- have
been expelled as the result of a policy of zero tolerance introduced by
John Lewis, the Head Master, who said: "We make it absolutely clear that
use, possession or sale will mean forfeiting a place in the school."
However, Mr Lewis is understood to have known since July that Prince Harry
had been caught smoking cannabis. He was not available for comment yesterday.
