DRUG WARS
Isn't it a little disingenuous to blame Mexico for lax security at the
border? There's no evidence to suggest that any of the terrorists who
struck our cities on Sept. 11, ever crossed our borders, north or south.
As I recall, they lived, trained and moved right here among us for years
while we had our law enforcement officers focused on illegal pills, powders
and plants that had absolutely nothing do with the attacks on our fellow
Americans.
Does anyone truly believe that somehow we've emerged unscathed after almost
a century of drug prohibition which generates black market profits the
likes of which the world has never seen, when, comparatively speaking,
bootleggers' illegal proceeds were a mere pittance by today's illegal drug
market's standards? Who are we kidding?
