Rapists
KEEP JAIL SPACE OPEN FOR VIOLENT OFFENDERS
I am disgusted that rapists and molesters spend so little time behind bars.
Do you really believe that someone who is sick enough, violent enough and
angry enough to rape or sodomize can be helped? After you reach adulthood,
or even before, a person's personality is formed and very rarely do they
change.
It amazes me people believe that rapists can be rehabilitated after a
minimal time in jail where they sit around and work on a so-called
education that taxpayers pay for, live in a restricted environment and
practice very few realistic life skills.
But if a person gets caught with a small amount of marijuana, he or she
gets years in jail. I am not saying that is OK, either.
Let me ask, though, who do you want living next to you and your children, a
registered rapist or child molester or a person who smokes pot? Thank you
former Presidents Reagan and Bush for putting the real criminals behind
bars; I feel so safe!
Our prisons are so overcrowded with want-to-be drug dealers that people who
violate and assault others can be released right back into our society. Get
real!
