POLICE DOG 'SNIFFS OUT CANNABIS' ON SCHOOL VISIT

A POLICE sniffer dog allegedly discovered cannabis in pupils' lockers
during a visit with her handler to a school.

A 15-year-old schoolboy was due to appear before a youth court in
Barnstaple, Devon, today, charged with the possession of a small amount of
the drug, said a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman today.

Cannabis was allegedly found when two-year-old pointer Bonnie was taken to
Ilfracombe School and Community College.

Bonnie became agitated and was allowed to search the locker room, where she
allegedly found cannabis in four lockers.

Three 15-year-old boys and one 16-year-old were suspended. One was charged
with possession of cannabis and the others received police reprimands.
