2 HELD IN DRUG MONEY SEIZURE
KEYES, Okla. - A pair of Ohio men were being held in the Cimarron County
Jail on Thursday after being arrested in the largest money seizure in
Keyes' history.
Mario L. Crumpler, 22, and Isaac C. Osborne, 23, both of Columbus, Ohio,
are charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute;
possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of drug proceeds, said
Keyes Police Chief William Jones. Crumpler also is charged with driving on
a suspended license and speeding.
The two Ohio men were arrested by Jones early Sunday after he pulled them
over for speeding and found 5 grams of marijuana and more than $15,000 in cash.
Jones said he stopped the pair's 2001 Chevrolet Blazer on U.S. Highway 56
and discovered that Crumpler had a suspended license. With the help of the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jones searched the vehicle and found the drugs and
cash, which was stored in envelopes.
Jones seized the cash pending a forfeiture hearing.
"We've had bigger drug busts in town, but this was the biggest cash seizure
we've ever had," Jones said.
