GREAT FUEL OVERLOOKED

Re: the Jan. 14 editorial "Gasoline efficiency remains 'big' thing":

I find that an important resource is overlooked in the energy debate. While
it would take decades to achieve the desired results of fuel cell
technology, a viable and sustaining fuel alternative is available: hemp fuel.

Hemp fuel burns many times cleaner then any fuel on the market. Although
the price probably would be about the same as fuel today, it would be more
environmentally friendly.

But I think hemp fuel is buried under the propaganda of drug use and is
being avoided to keep the profits coming for the fuel and oil barons. How
long are we going to destroy this planet for the sake of industrial profits?
