LOCAL CRIME REPORT WILL BE SORELY MISSED
It is with great sadness that I just finished reading the final issue of
Community & Crime Report. This is a local tabloid newspaper put out by
Quentin Richardson, Glenn Trent and Ronn Wilson.
These men are my heroes -- not some prima donna, drug-consuming athlete or
other clueless celebrity. These men do the grunt work in making this world
a better place for us all. They have been involved in solving the real
problems of our society and not the phony ones like racial profiling,
diversity, campaign finance reform, gun control; the list is endless.
These men have made a difference by directing their efforts toward the real
problem, and that is the criminal. All sorts of things are cited as the
cause of crime: drugs, poverty, etc. The fact is, there is no evidence that
anything causes crime but criminals.
Most crimes are not committed by misguided people who just "made a mistake"
or "got in with the wrong crowd." They are committed by people who do it
because they like it or for personal gain -- period.
If one really wishes to understand the causes of crime, one should read the
last issue of Community & Crime Report. Layers of this problem are revealed.
Thanks, Quentin, Glenn and Ronn.
