DON'T EXPECT TO SEE THIEVES GO TO PRISON
No matter what misdeeds are found to have been committed by the Enron
executives, don't expect them to be serving any prison time. Despite
essentially stealing more than $1 billion, more than an entire prison full
of common thieves and robbers, they will likely never see the inside of a cell.
Prisons are almost never homes for white-collar criminals, regardless of
the magnitude of their crimes. Instead, they will continue to be filled
with petty drug offenders and the poor, who can't afford competent attorneys.
