DRUG WAR IS DEAD

Eau Claire, Wis. -- The Salim Muwakkil article "Drug warriors: U.S.'
internal Taliban" (Commentary, Jan. 28) was a refreshing breeze in the
stench of Prohibition intolerance.
As policy, the drug war is dead. It's time to hold the funeral so we can
get on with the reconstruction of our communities.
