DRUG WAR ADS DISHONEST
The Office of National Drug Control Policy is starting a new ad campaigning
that accuses nonviolent drug users of funding terrorism. It's not drug users
that fund terrorists, it's War on Drug politicians. The War on Drugs turns
cheap agricultural products like marijuana and coca into gold. Drug
prohibition inflates the price of these products by more than 17,000
percent. Legalize drugs and you take the profit potential out of these
products, and that will stop terrorist funding in its tracks.
Another problem with these ads is that they are dishonest. The most widely
used illegal drug in this country is marijuana. Most of which is grown in
the U.S., Mexico or Canada. It has no connection whatsoever with any
terrorist organization. To blame nonviolent pot smokers for funding
terrorists is just plain wrong.
