TERROR AND POT
Editor -- On a day when Americans were put on their highest alert
against terrorism, Asa Hutchinson's Drug Enforcement Agency was
wasting its resources busting medical marijuana clubs and activists
("Medical pot club raided as DEA leader visits S.F.," Feb. 13).
Have the feds been listening to too much of their own advertising,
and do they actually believe that homegrown pot funds international
terrorism? Or maybe DEA agents themselves are the terrorists we were
warned about.
Let's hope that after his encounter with an angry audience at the
Commonwealth Club, and hundreds of protesters outside, Hutchinson
finally gets the message: You are not wanted here, even by police
chiefs and district attorneys. You are ignoring the democratic will
of the people. You are destroying the lives of law-abiding
Californians. Get out and stay out.
