TREATMENT IS A BETTER OPTION

I am very glad that Gov. Jeb Bush's daughter is going into a drug treatment
program before facing charges for prescription drug fraud, and quite
possibly instead of facing charges. That will probably help her more than
spending three to five years in a cell. But, I wonder: If she wasn't the
governor's daughter, would she go to jail or rehab?

I have nothing against her and I don't wish the governor or his brother any
harm. But what about all the other poor dudes who are not related to the
upper crust? One of my neighbor's kids spent more than six months in jail
for possession of marijuana. They wouldn't even let that kid out for a day
to attend his father's funeral.
