DEA TERROR STRIKES
ON a day when Americans were put on high alert against terrorism, Asa
Hutchinson's Drug Enforcement Administration was wasting its resources on
busting medical marijuana clubs and activists (Page 3B, Feb. 13).
Have the feds been listening to too much of their own advertising, and do
they actually believe that home-grown pot finances international terrorism?
Or maybe DEA agents themselves are the terrorists we were warned about.
Let's hope that after his encounter with an angry audience at the
Commonwealth Club, and with hundreds of protesters outside, Hutchinson
finally gets the message: You are not wanted here, even by police chiefs
and district attorneys. You are ignoring the democratic will of the people.
You are destroying the lives of law-abiding Californians.
