To the Editor:
Re "Bush's $19 Billion Antidrug Plan Focuses on Law Enforcement and
Treatment" (news article, Feb. 13):
President Bush says that buyers of illegal drugs are supporting terrorism.
I think that the same could be said of buyers of petroleum products.
Furthermore, this administration's failure to adopt a coherent energy
policy will probably do more to ensure an intractable war on terrorism, as
our competing priorities in the Middle East continue to inflame a bad
situation.
