THE SOLUTION MUST SURELY BE OBVIOUS

Brilliant. First the government passes a law making marijuana illegal
and now editors and opinion leaders everywhere are falling over
themselves urging the passage of a law dealing with the one of the
many negative consequences of that law. Surely the solution is obvious
to even the most obsequious supporters of an all-powerful state. If a
law causes more problems, more harm and more costs shouldn't said law
should be abolished forthwith?
