MURDER PROBE TURNING INTO DRUG BUST
Editor's note: The following letter is written by Ann Shangraw, the
step-mother of Ryan Shangraw, who, along with Harold "Bo" Upton III, was
shot to death Feb. 1 at Ryan Shangraw's mobile home in Hubble.
Dear Editor:
We know that our son, Ryan, and Bo are in heaven with God and are looking
down on us now. They can no longer talk to us and tell us what happened.
With all of the things that have been printed in the papers about drugs,
the investigation into their deaths has turned from a murder investigation
into a drug bust.
We know that there were some drugs found at Ryan's house, but nothing has
proven that this had anything to do with why they were killed. If it had
been anything to do with drugs or robbery, the killers would have taken the
drugs and the money. But they didn't. That is why we believe that no
arrests have been made because the police are trying to make a drug bust
for themselves and are not figuring out some other kind of motive.
If all that comes out of this is a drug bust, then the drug dealers will be
back out on the streets soon and our son's killers will have gotten away
with this. Please, as friends and loved ones of Ryan and Bo, don't let this
happen.
