MANHATTAN: 4 CONVICTED OF DRUG CONSPIRACY

A jury has convicted four men of running a transcontinental drug ring
that trucked thousands of pounds of marijuana monthly to New York
from California. The men - Carl Coleman, Winston Hilton, Barrington
Irving and Solemn Joseph - used an Oklahoma trucking company, where
Mr. Coleman worked, to transport the drugs, then stored them in a
Bronx house. They also sold drugs in Harlem, the Bronx, and Utica,
N.Y. Convicted on Friday of narcotics conspiracy, they face a
mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment and a maximum of
life in prison.
