WILL FARMER BROWN BE FARMER GREEN?

At long last financial aid is coming for the underpaid, embattled farmers.
No longer will family farms have to be sold to developers for needed cash
for the farmers to live on. A new cash crop, "medical marijuana," is on the
way for farmers' relief.

As soon as this new medical law is passed, the number of legal users will
skyrocket. Doctors will probably get writer's cramp from filling out
prescriptions. Farmers can convert their barns to safe, secure marijuana
growing areas to fulfill the needs of these new medically certified users.

Farming changes are coming and one of the biggest changes will be the new
vocabulary that will be needed to go with this new crop. For example,
"weed" will no longer be a nuisance, "stoned" will not refer to a field
condition, and "pot" won't mean the under-bed convenience.

Farmers are sure to embrace this new crop, because tending growing lamps is
far easier and cleaner than forking manure. Yes, change is inevitable. Just
as old Dobbin gave way to the tractor, Elsie will now be placed on
permanent pasture.

Good luck, farmers, on your transition from Farmer Brown to Farmer Green.
