LEGALISING CANNABIS

SIR, - I was pleased to read (the Press and Journal, February 19) that the
move to make cannabis legal and controlled under the NHS is at last going
to become a reality. It's great news for all those who will find some
relief from constant painful conditions. But let's not stop there; let's
expand the concept to include hard drugs and stop the evil and widespread
drug dealing that kills people and all the associated crime it creates. By
doing this, drug dealers would be out of business overnight and it would
stop the deaths caused by poisonous cocktails of unknown purity levels of
hard drugs.
