MARIJUANA FOR ILL PATIENTS BACKED
A poll released Tuesday found that about 80 percent of respondents
favored legalizing marijuana use for seriously or terminally ill
patients whose doctors agree.
Chamberlain Research of Madison conducted the poll of 600 adults
statewide for a group called Is My Medicine Legal YET? The poll has a
margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
The Legislature Tuesday wrapped up its floor sessions for the year
without passing a bill (AB 715) that would have legalized medical
marijuana.
"They shouldn't be withholding medicine for partisan reasons," said
Gary Storck, a spokesman for the pro-medical marijuana group.
