PENNSYLVANIA: MURDER CHARGE THROWN OUT
Judge Jeffrey A. Manning of Allegheny County Court has thrown out a
homicide charge against a man accused of selling a dose of Ecstasy that
killed a 16-year-old girl. The defendant, Gregory Ludwig, was accused in
the May 19 overdose death of Brandy French of Sewickley. Although state law
says that supplying drugs that cause a death is third-degree murder, Judge
Manning ruled on Tuesday that the statute was unconstitutional. Mr. Ludwig
still faces drug charges, including a felony count of delivery of Ecstasy. (AP)
