THE BEVERLY HILLS BRATS
THE tearaway son of rocker Rod Stewart has been arrested after he was found
lying unconscious in the street, The Sun can reveal.
Sean Stewart, pictured above, was picked up by police in West Hollywood
after they discovered him slumped on Sunset Boulevard.
It is the latest taste of trouble for the 21-year-old who is one of the
Beverly Hills Brats -- the nickname for the wayward children of super-rich
rock and movie stars.
Sean was found by cops near the infamous Viper Room nightclub, where
Hollywood star River Phoenix died of a drugs overdose.
Sean, who has attended a clinic for addiction to booze, was arrested at
11.10pm.
He was taken to the station and charged with possession of a controlled
substance and owning a prescription for the powerful addictive painkiller
Vicodin which was not his.
Sean was freed after his mother, Rod's ex Alana Hamilton, paid his bail.
Last night a police spokesman said: "Sean Stewart was arrested on Saturday
on two counts, one of possessing a controlled substance and the other
possession of a prescription with another person's name on it.
"A number of tests will now be carried out by the narcotics department."
A court heard last month how Sean kicked a motorist unconscious in a car
park outside a California restaurant before he was restrained by Superman
star Dean Cain.
Sean is said to have launched an unprovoked attack on Jason Rogland, 19,
outside the posh Nobu eaterie in smart Malibu.
Cain came to the rescue and restrained Sean while waiting for the police to
arrive.
Sean was found to be twice over the drink-drive limit and was charged with
assault with a deadly weapon.
Rod, 57, who has another daughter, Kimberly, by Alana, is said to be at his
"wits' end" over Sean. Kimberly too has been something of a wild child --
but nothing compared to Sean. The lad has been in trouble ever since he was
expelled from the infamous Beverly Hills High School at 16.
He was part of a violent street gang called All Out Bombing -- who blew up
cars for fun.
Rod paid for Sean to go to the Meadows Rehabilitation Centre -- the clinic
for the stars -- in Arizona.
He was meant to be treated there for alcohol addiction but fled after only
two days.
Sean has attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in Los Angeles but pals say
he is still running wild as a result of his boozing.
THE BEVERLY HILLS BRATS INCLUDE THE CHILDREN OF SOME OF THE BIGGEST NAMES
IN Hollywood.
The group is made up of a growing number of teenagers who run wild in Los
Angeles while their rich parents are away making movies or on world tours.
The Brats have everything that money can buy them -- with designer clothes,
sports cars, and even their own apartments.
But the one thing many of them have lacked is a stable home life.
Oscar-winning legend Michael Douglas has admitted he has not been the best
of fathers to his son Cameron, who has been put behind bars three times
over problems with drugs and booze.
Michael blames the fact he was too busy pursuing his movie career to be
interested in the boy.
He says: "I didn't spend enough time with him during his important years of
development.
"It was 22 years ago when I had my first son and I had not established my
career as an actor.
"At a certain point in my life, my career was more important to me.
"But I achieved a certain level of success and though I still love making
movies I don't have the killing desire to continue working as much as before.
"Through Cameron, I know the value of those early years and I'll make sure
to be around more for my young son Dylan."
Just last week the teenage son of former Hollywood couple Ryan O'Neal and
Farrah Fawcett, Redmond, was jailed for possessing cannabis.
Charlie's Angels actress Farrah is said to be worried sick about the lad,
who has been off the rails since he was young.
He was booted out of a posh LA school after cannabis was found in his
locker when he was aged 15.
But he didn't learn. A few months later he was arrested by cops in Malibu
after they found marijuana in his pockets.
Redmond, 17, certainly seems to take after his father Ryan, who also went
off the rails. Ryan served time for assault and his daughter Tatum also has
had drug problems.
Bond star Pierce Brosnan has had his fair share of worries with his sons
Sean and Chris, who share homes in LA and London.
In April 2000 Sean, 17, the actor's only child with his late wife
Cassandra, suffered serious injuries in a road accident in Malibu, California.
The teenager had to be flown by air ambulance to a Los Angeles hospital
where he underwent six hours of surgery.
His 47-year-old father kept a bedside vigil until he recovered.
James Hall, 20, pleaded "no contest" to a charge of drink-driving causing
injury.
Sean was riding in Hall's car when it plunged 200ft over a cliff.
In December of the same year Sean was suspended from his posh British
public school after attacking another pupil.
Chris, 28, is the son of Pierce's late wife Cassandra from a previous
relationship. He has been inside for drink driving.
The 007 star raised Chris, a film producer, as his own and his mother's
death from cancer in 1991 brought the two men closer.
