MAKE SURE SPORTS TEAMS ARE CLEAN

Drug tests should be used for students involved with after-school
activities. It would give teens a reason to say no to taking drugs. It
would also be a good way to lower the percentage of teens in the metro area
who are smoking and doing other sorts of drugs.

Drug testing is not a violation of privacy. Teens should be happy to know
that when they join a sports team, the other kids are not doing things that
they shouldn't. Drug testing for sports teams is a great way not only to
stop teens from doing drugs but also let the parents know what their kids
are up to.

If drug testing happens, it should be done once a month and not just when
tryouts begin.
