DRUG SOLUTION

Regarding the March 5 letter "Drug problem," I can certainly understand the
writer's concern about the drug sales she sees, but has she noticed the
dealers of other, more dangerous drugs accosting her as she drives by?

The people who deal in these other drugs, such as tobacco and alcohol,
pay taxes and have registered places of business.

Is it better for the trade in certain drugs to be controlled by the
criminal element or by registered and tax-paying elements?
