DRUG TRADE PRODUCES HUMAN MISERY
On March 27, I found a letter in the Letter Box deriding people with
morals. The writer's address was Short Hills, N.J. He said that the
"moralists" seek a drug-free world. He cited scientists as the arbiters
upon whom we can rely. Apparently, he considers them immoral. We could
diminish the drug supply to an infinitesimal amount, almost immediately, if
we passed a zero-tolerance law, declaring any drug dealer an outlaw. We
have an outlaw statute allowing any citizen to shoot to kill on sight any
declared outlaw.
A drug dealer is a profiteer from human misery. His product turns his
customer into a slave, who no longer has a will of his own. The drug
Ecstasy, which the New Jersey writer found suitable for our kids, has
recently been exposed as a destroyer of the intellect. Evidently, he is
looking forward to a population of zombies.
His rationale, in my opinion, makes him more a threat to the nation than
priestly predators!
